Eco-Friendly Teabags - Compostable and Plastic-Free

All of our teabags are crafted from natural wood pulps and long fibres such as hemp and cleverly designed so they don’t need heat-sealed plastics to stay whole — they’re simply folded and sewn with string. This means our bags are 100% free from polypropylene, a synthetic material commonly used in other teabags.

Our teabags are industrial-compostable, so once you’ve finished brewing, they can go straight into food waste recycling or composting streams (where this service is available). This helps reduce waste going to landfill and supports a circular approach to materials.


Plastic-Free Envelopes and Recyclable Packaging

We’ve completely redesigned our tea bag envelopes, so they are totally plastic-free and recyclable with regular paper waste - a significant step towards reducing unnecessary plastics in everyday consumption.

But we don’t stop there. All our outer cartons and cardboard packaging are 100% recyclable, meaning every part of your Heath & Heather purchase has been considered with sustainability in mind.

This approach aligns with our belief that good packaging should protect our teas while being kind to the planet.


Unbleached and Chlorine-Free Materials

We also take care in what materials we don’t use - our teabags are made from unbleached fibres and totally chlorine-free wood pulps, meaning no harsh chemical treatments are involved.

This not only benefits the environment by avoiding harmful chlorine processing, but it also keeps our tea experience as natural and pure as the botanicals themselves.
